Picked at minus five degrees Celsius and opening with a clear, precise and coolish yet not very aromatic nose, the 2021 Sobernheimer Domberg Riesling Auslese -5° is an elegant and not overly sweet but straight and refreshing Auslese with remarkably sharp and savory acidity and some stimulating greenish nuances on the finish. It's a classic, pre-global warming style. 7.5% stated alcohol. Screw cap. Tasted from a 375-milliliter bottle in May 2023.
