Bordeaux Futures

Bordeaux MapFor those serious about collecting great wines, we believe that this section of our site will be a fantastic resource. Purchasing Bordeaux on presale or, en-primeur, provides access to an even greater selection of wines, often at substantial discounts from their final release prices.

There are a few things to know about purchasing futures:

  • We ask that you purchase a minimum of 4 bottles of any wine (or 6 if ordering half-bottles or 2 for magnums or first-growth 750ml bottles)

  • Most producers also offer bottle formats other than 750ml, including half bottles (375ml), magnums (1.5 litres), double magnums (3 litres), and sometimes even 4.5, 6.0 or 9.0 litre sizes - which are not specifically listed on our offer sheet. There is a slight up-charge when selecting these other formats - and we do require that any bottle size not listed on the offer sheet be ordered by the full case. There will generally be 24 half bottles, 6 magnums, or 3 double magnum bottles to each "case". Please call the store if you are interested in pricing or availabilty of any of these alternate sizes.

  • We will send you a confirmation and invoice upon receipt of your order.

  • Payment is requested by check or cash only within 30 days of your order to secure your wine.

  • Wines generally begin arriving in the late Spring of their release year (3 years from the wine's vintage, eg. 2023 wines would be delivered to the store starting in April of 2026), but delivery has stretched out over several shipments in recent vintages. We will contact you when your wines have arrived and are ready for collection.

Please note: Prices do not include any taxes, duties or tariffs which are in existence or may be in effect in the future. There is no certainty with respect to the tariff rate, if any, or other duties and taxes that may be enacted or imposed at the time of shipment of the 2023 vintage. We hope that tariffs will not be reinstated, but if they are you will be asked to pay those tariffs prior to transferring custody of the wine to you.

The 2019 Fombrauge has quite a perfumed bouquet with red berry fruit, a splash of balsamic and Asian spice. Quite flattering in style. The palate is medium-bodied with edgy tannins, a fine bead of acidity, not overly-complex and... Read More
