The 2019 Charlotte is minty fresh from the first tilt of the glass, with spicy florals and crushed black cherries forming its bouquet. It's soft textured, and round on the palate with a stimulating core of acidity and tart red and black fruits that add tension toward the close. This tapers off perfumed, with decent length, leaving a coating of gently grippy tannins to frame the experience quite nicely.
The Charlotte is a co-fermented field blend of 47% Mourvèdre, 26% Grenache, 13% Counoise, 5% Syrah, 3% Cinsaut, 3% Grenache Blanc and 3% Picpoul.
