Historically, one of the great sites for Pinot Noir in Chassagne, owned primarily by the Pillot family. From a 0.2 hectare parcel planted in 1978.

A restrained, cool and more elegant nose reflects notes of red currant, cherry and plum where background nuances of spice and just turned earth are present. The sleeker and finer but not denser middleweight flavors possess a lovely sense of underlying tension where the lingering and lightly austere finale is shaped by more fine-grained tannins. While this is sufficiently pliant to drink well young, it should have no trouble repaying up to a decade of keeping.
