The 2010 Chasse-Spleen offers attractive blackberry, briary, cedar and pinecone aromas on the Pauillac inspired nose. Good intensity here. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, a fine bead of acidity with another graphite-infused, quite sharp finish. Very fine.

Made of 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, the deep garnet colored 2010 Chasse-Spleen gives up notes of stewed plums, baked blackcurrants and blackberry compote with hints of wild sage, leather and underbrush. Medium to full-bodied, the fruit is drying just slightly on the palate, and it has a sturdy frame of chewy tannins, finishing herbal.
