The 2021 Rosato di Ampeleia boasts an inviting, red-pink, melon color. A dazzling bouquet mixes tangerine with pungent florals and hints of kiwi. It's soft-textured yet packed full of zesty acid- driven tension, as tart citrus tones and wild berries cascade across its saline-mineral core. This finishes with a bitter twang while leaving hints of sour melon to linger. The Rosato di Ampeleia is a blend of 80% Carignano and 20% Alicante Nero (also known as Grenache).

This is a fun wine made with whole clusters of Alicante fermented in a must based on Carignano. The Ampeleia 2021 Rosato di Ampeleia (an organic and biodynamic wine) shows some mild veiling or cloudiness to its salmon-pink color. There is a little bit of ruby and a touch of amber. The wine offers macerated aromas of dried apricot skins and pressed roses.
